Ostomy Care
Supportive Management for Ostomy Needs
Includes pre-op marking and teaching, post-op care, problem solving, appliance selection, funding options and supportive care.
All PICN nurses are competent in ostomy care and are supported by our NSWOCC nurses (Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Canada). Our nurses assist clients to become knowledgeable, confident, and independent following this very difficult surgery. Clients have many questions and concerns about their surgery and we hope to alleviate the fears associated with these procedures.
